To the editor:
The Family Pathways Food Pantry in North Branch would like to thank the North Branch Lioness Club and the North Branch Lions Club for staffing our Stuff-A-Truck food drive at Nelsonís Market on Sept. 3. We would also like to thank those community members that made contributions and to Nelsonís Market for allowing us to do the drive on their premises. Nelsonís also generously offered $12.39 worth of groceries in a pre-packed bag for $10. That had a great impact on the success of the event and in the slim margin profit world of the grocery business, it was a very kind gesture. We raised 1,160 pounds of food and $223.97 in cash donations. The truck was stuffed! Thanks to all for helping assist the less fortunate members of our community who struggle on a daily basis, and more importantly, their children. You made a difference!
