Constance E. Lieser

Constance E. Lieser age 83 of North Branch, Minn. died Sept. 19, 2004 at the Grandview Christian Care Home in Cambridge, Minn.

Connie was born in Britt, Iowa on Feb. 23, 1921. After graduating from Marshall Town, Iowa High School she attended Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. She was a Kappa Kappa Gamma. Before going to work at Bankerís life, Connie met Chase after WWII and they were married on May 25, 1946.

In addition to raising her family, Connie was active in many areas, including Iowa Assoc. of Retardation, Catholic Charities, St. Teresaís Rosary Society and the Boy and Girl Scouts. In 1963 the family moved to North Branch where Connie was very active handling the accounting for Lieser Oil Company. Again she became involved in the community in the North Branch American Legion Auxiliary, Girl Scouts and Chisago County Mental Retardation Assoc. and D.A.C. and was the key driver in development of Linnea Home in Chisago City. Connie was long time member of St. Gregoryís Catholic Church in North Branch, Minn.

Connie was an avid golfer, she enjoyed playing Bridge. Connie was a private pilot and she was a 49er. Her fondest time was spent at the family cabin in Lutsen, Minn.

Preceded in death by daughter Nancy.

Survived by husband Chase of 58 years; son Chase (Skip) and wife Kristi of Plymouth, Minn.; three daughters Jane Lieser-Shepard (Steven Roloff) of Prior Lake, Minn.; Katherine (Terri) and husband Orris Erlandson of Lindstrom, Minn. and Patricia and husband Craig Anderson of North Branch, Minn.; nine grandchildren Nathan, Ben Andre, Keri, Tony, Luke, Erika, Eric and Blake; two great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday Sept. 23, at 1 p.m. at the St. Gregoryís Catholic Church in North Branch, Minn. Visitation one hour before services at the church. Interment in St. Josephís Catholic Cemetery in North Branch.

The family would like to thank the loving years of care from the Grandview Christian Care Home in Cambridge and would prefer that memorials be given to Grandview in her name.
