Horse lovers, including breeders, trainers, owners and would-be owners, are invited to Petersonís Country Mill Saturday, Sept.18, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. when the mill will be transformed into a dude ranch for a day.
Join fellow horse enthusiasts at the free event to swap tack and gain useful tips and information on horse health, nutrition and training.
Sue Kelly, Nutrenaís area equine specialist, will present horse health and nutrition tips.
David Schwinghamer, veterinarian from Sunrise Equine Veterinarian Services, will answer questions on horse illness and prevention.
There will be displays on fencing, stalls, feeds, parasite control and nutrition supplements.
Area riding clubs are invited to sell tack and promote their organizations.
Interested club members should contact Dennis Aulich or Denise Ryan to reserve a table. No commercial vendors admitted.
Chisago Lakes Pet Hospital will discuss pet dentistry and St. Francis of Assisi Pet Rescue will have pets needing adoption.
