Ione Colleen (Mapson) Splittstoser, age 81, of North Branch, Minn., died on Aug. 10, 2005 at the Lakeside Medical Center in Pine City, Minn.
Ione was born on May 11, 1924 to Floyd and Anna Mapson in St. Paul, Minn.
In August of 1945 she married Edwin Awold Splittstoser in St. Paul. Ione worked as a homemaker and nursing assistant. Ione enjoyed reading and gardening.
She is survived by two sons: Donald and wife Linda, Raymond and wife Brenda; two daughters: Clare Ann Zara and Lorna Splittstoser; brother Howard Mapson; sister Rosalie Krebs, 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, Aug. 13, at the St. John Lutheran Church in Weber with Rev. Kevin Zellers officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery. Arrangements by Grandstrand Funeral Home in North Branch, Minn.
