TO THE EDITOR:
The Family Pathways North Branch Food Pantry would like to express our gratitude to the community for stepping forward to re-supply our shelves. Special thanks to Stephanie Johnson and the Summer Stretch kids for going door to door gathering donations. Their youthful enthusiasm and arm loads of donations were a most welcome sight at our front door.
They certainly speak well for the current generation of young adults.
Thank you to Carrie Schmidt and the Kids Quest program at the Main Street school for their food drive. Thanks are also due to the First Lutheran Church of Harris, Fish Lake Lutheran Church, Immanuel Lutheran Church of Almelund, Kost Evangelical Free Church, Northbrook Community Fellowship, Spring Lake Lutheran Church, the United Methodist Church of North Branch, and the North Branch Lioness Club for their generous donations in July ,and especially St.Gregoryís Catholic Church and Trinity Lutheran Church for their awesome special efforts.
We owe a debt of gratitude to the Rob Sanvik Insurance Agency and the North Branch Police Department for raising food for us during their ěPedal with the Policeî event and to the Post Review for taking part in the ECM food drive and for the superb news article that was responsible for a large share of the food donated in July. Thank you to Wyoming Citgo for coming through for us when most needed, with a huge food donation.
We are indebted to Chris from Dairy Direct for selling us milk at a greatly reduced price, which will enable us to continue to offer that product to our client families. Thanks to the dozens of individuals who have come to the Food Pantry bearing their gifts of food and compassion and to those who have backed us financially. There are many families in our community that are better off today due to their kindness and generosity. Thank You!
