Hypnotist donates proceeds of DVD rentals to local groups

Posted: 8/2/05

Last week local hypnotist and philanthropist Mikenosis (left) announced he will donate the proceeds of the rental of his performance DVDs to the North Branch Girl Scouts and the Family Pathways foodshelf in an even split.

He kicked off with a $50 donation to Family Pathways and a $50 donation to the Girl Scouts. Randy Koivisto (center) of Pathways accepted the check. A representative from the Girl Scouts was not present. Debbie Lewis (right) owns the Video Vault, which rents the DVDs.

Mikenosis said he is donating money to help out his community. In addition, he said he is donating the money to the Scouts in honor of Kelly Thompson, who died in a car accident in June.
