TO THE EDITOR:
Family Pathways serves the five-county area of Chisago, Isanti, Kanabec, Mille Lacs, and Pine. Their thrift stores are located in Hinckley, Pine City, Rush City, Isanti, Wyoming, and Forest Lake. The purpose of the thrift stores is to provide used clothing and household items at a minimal cost to the community. The proceeds from these stores support the programs of Family Pathways: Basic Life Services, Senior Services, and Children and Family Programs.
Donations are how the thrift stores generate product for sale. Each thrift store is unique with different inventory, hours of operation, and in-store promotions. The thrift stores each have their own staff of employees and volunteers. They are also an acceptable place to apply for community service hours.
An upcoming event is the Hinckley Thrift Storeís 4th anniversary. There will be in-store promotions throughout the month of August including drawings for door prizes donated by area businesses. The staff and volunteers at the Hinckley Thrift Store would like to invite you to join them in celebrating their fourth years of business. The celebration will take place the entire month of August. Come by and enjoy shopping, refreshments, and your chance at a door prize.
Family Pathways is a good organization that cares about the communities. Stop in at any of the Thrift Stores for more information or visit us on the Web at www.familypathways.org.
