North Branch cleared its bench and 11 players got into the scoring column as the Vikings romped over a shorthanded St. Paul Harding 66-15 on Dec. 8.
Harding, of the St. Paul City Conference, was playing without three of their key players, and were never in the game.
Coach Dan Schindler was happy that his reserves got extended playing time. He praised the play of Randi Zentner, who had 8 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists.
ěRandi works extremely hard and it was nice to see her have a game like that. She usually doesnít show up in the stat column that much, but always does those things that really help our team.î
Ashley Johnson scored her first varsity points.
Rounding out the scoring for the Vikings was: Kacie Ramberg 2; Tiffany Good 12; Ellie Fairbanks 3; Kristen Robatcek 4; Lacee Scherer 4; Jill VandenHeuvel 4; Heather Hovland 6; Marlayna Graff 8; Gabi Olson 11.
The Vikings traveled to Cambridge-Isanti (1-1) on Tuesday and host Duluth Central at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
During the holiday break the team will participate in the annual Simley Holiday Tourney in Inver Grove Heights. Other participating schools are Holy Angels, Visitation, St. Paul Academy, Highland Park, and Blake.
