Laurel (Pederson) Whittaker, age 80, of North Branch, passed on Nov. 29, 2005 after a long and protracted illness.
Laurel was born to Oliver and Louise Pederson July 19, 1925. She spent her childhood in the White Bear Lake area.
She moved with her family to the east side of St. Paul where she attended school, graduating from Johnson High School in 1943.
After graduation she was employed as a secretary for the First National Bank and she also attended the University of Minnesota.
Laurel married James Whittaker in 1948 and they had three children: John Douglas (Jean) of New York NY, Barbara Jean of St. Paul and James William (Mei) of Portland, Ore.
Laurel had an exciting life making a home for her family in many parts of the country; including a stint of ten years in Montreal, Canada. She lived the last 23 years in North Branch, Minn., following Jimís retirement.
Private family interment. A time of reviewel and visitation will be Tuesday, Dec. 6, 4-6 p.m. at Olson Funeral Chapel, Rush City, Minn.
