On Dec. 5, at 7:58 p.m., Chisago County deputies responded to a hold-up alarm at County Line Liquor Store at 6589 Lake Blvd., in Forest Lake. Deputies were able to obtain a vehicle license plate number and direction of travel. They also obtained a description of the suspect, later identified as Mark David Schwinghammer, 23, Maplewood, as a white male with facial hair, wearing a baseball cap and blue jeans. The suspect also displayed a black colored hand gun and pointed it at the store clerk.

Deputies were able to locate the suspect vehicle near Hwy. 61 and North Shore Trail in Forest Lake. After a short pursuit the suspect was taken into custody. The Forest Lake Police Department, Wyoming Police Department, Anoka County Sheriffís Office, and the Minnesota State Patrol assisted in the apprehension.

Schwinghammer was transported to the Chisago County Jail and is being held on aggravated robbery, second degree assault, possession of a stolen hand gun, and fleeing a police officer. Charges are pending.
