New Wyoming library dedicated

Posted: 12/7/05

On Saturday, Dec. 3, the new Giese Memorial Library was dedicated in Wyoming. It is approximately 10,000 sq. ft. in size. This is the first real library for the city of Wyoming which has previously been served by the East Central Regional Library system by bookmobile only. At the ceremony Commissioner Ben Montzka said, ìOver the years, a lot of time has been put into this dream of a library for the city of Wyoming and finally the day has arrived where we can celebrate literacy. This library will allow people of all ages a place to learn, to relax, to communicate and research. I am thrilled to see this project come together.î Wyoming Mayor Sheldon Anderson (Mayor Anderson receiving a boutonniere from Cathy Hoffman, assistant director for ECRL.) also spoke at the opening.
