Doris A. Mold, age 89 of Duluth Minn., formerly of North Branch, Minn. died on Feb. 2, 2005 at the Chris Jensen Health Care Center in Duluth, Minn.
Doris was born on Dec. 15, 1915 in Harris, Minn. to Jesse and Ida (Olson) Holman. Doris worked as an Elementary School teacher in North Branch for 38 years. Doris began teaching in rural one room school house. In her 38 years of teaching she taught 3 generations of the same family, touching and shaping a great many lives. Doris was a dedicated educator and it was rare to hear an unkind word from her. On April 22, 1942 she married Lawrence Mold.
Doris enjoyed reading, learning, and talking with friends.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lawrence, brother Wilbur and two sisters Jean and Norma. She is survived by son Richard and wife Virginia; three grandchildren Amy Guilloteau, Michelle McMullin and David Mold; one great-grandchild Soren Guilloteau. two nieces and six nephews and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2005 at 11 a.m. at Grandstrand Funeral Home in North Branch, Minn.
Visitation one hour before services. Interment at Sunrise Cemetery.
