Floyd E. Gustafson

Floyd E. Gustafson, age 80 of Harris, Minn. died on Feb. 12, 2005 at the Green Acres Country Care Center in North Branch, Minn.

Floyd was born on Nov. 24, 1924 to Carl and Astrid (Hanson) Gustafson in Minneapolis, Minn.
He attended high school at Patrick Henry, graduating in 1942. He then attended the University of Minnesota graduating in 1950.

Floyd served in the U.S. Army in the Aleutian Islands during WWII. He received the American Theater Service medal, Good Conduct medal and Asiatic Pacific Theater Services medal.

On Aug. 4, 1951 he married Lucille V. Harvey in Cable, Wis.

Floyd worked as an engineer at Honeywell for 20 years.

Floyd enjoyed ham radios, electronics, current affairs, Christian spirituality and church activities. He also did home construction do-it yourself projects, and enjoyed his grandchildren and pets.

He is survived by wife Lucille, children Gary, Paul, Sally, Donn, Lee, nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, brother Melvin, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services here held on Tuesday, Feb. 15, at the Harris Covenant Church in Harris with Rev. Neil Bonkoski and Eugene Peterson officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery. Arrangements by Grandstrand Funeral Home in North Branch.
