Ruth T. (Fritz) Tallarico, age 85 of North Branch, Minn, died Feb. 8, 2005.
Mass of Christian burial was held Friday, Feb. 11, at St. Gregoryís Catholic Church in North Branch. Visitation was from 4 to 8 p.m. on Feb. 10 at Grandstrand Funeral home in North Branch and one hour before services at the church. Interment was in Calvary Cemetery in St. Paul, Minn. Arrangements by Grandstrand Funeral Home.
Ruth grew up in the Italian community in St. Paul, Minn. known as the Upper Leeve. She was a graduate of Mechanic Arts High School. She resided in St. Paulís East Side Lincoln Park and Maplewood area until moving to North Branch in 2001. Ruth loved to reminisce about days on the Leeve, dances at Harriet Island, doing embroider and most of all spending time with her family and grandchildren.
She retired from the State of Minnesota Department of Motor Vehicle in 1984. She was a member of St. Gregoryís Catholic Church, where she held with various volunteer activities.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents Michael and Rose Fritz; two brothers Joseph and Peter; sister-in-law Lorraine Fritz. She is survived by children Patrick (Dianne) Tallarico, Salvatore Tallarico, Diane (Donald) Daniski, Thomas Tallarico; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister Helen Olsen; brother Dominic (Pat); sister-in-law Antoinette Fritz; 11 nieces and nephews; and long time beloved friend Vergie Daniski; other relatives and friends.
The family expresses heartfelt thanks to Hospice and their volunteers for their loving care and compassion given to their mother and continuous support to family members. Memorials preferred to Allina Hospices and Palliative Care.
