Voice of Riverdance returns to Cambridge

Posted: 2/16/05

Katie McMahonís hauntingly beautiful voice brought fame to the highly acclaimed Riverdance. Now on her own, her lively show will bring a touch of Irish to Cambridge on St. Patrick's Day.
McMahon will be performing at the Performing Arts Center at the Cambridge-Isanti High School March 17, at 7:30 p.m. This Dublin native combines the best to create a wonderful Irish event: harp, heart-breakingly sad songs, lively reels, high-kicking stepdancers and humorous ancedotes.

This will be McMahonís fifth performance in Cambridge.
The concert is a fund-raiser for the Isanti County Historical Society, which will be directing all funds to the completion of the community room at the Heritage Center. The community room will not only be used by ICHS members and staff, but by the community as a whole. It will be available to rent for meetings, wedding receptions and other events.

Tickets for the show range from $14 to $18, with discounts available for seniors and Isanti County Historical Society members. Purchase tickets at the District 911 Community Education office, (763) 689-6189, or Isanti County Historical Society Heritage Center (763) 689-4229, located in the northwest corner of the fairgrounds in Cambridge.
