Junior Heather Dean cut loose for a double-double and Becky Kemen scored 16 points as the Rush City Tigers defeated East Central 51-42 in Great River Conference action on Jan. 7.
Dean scored 10 points and pulled down 13 rebounds while making 7 assists and 5 steals.
The Tigers held a 34-21 edge in rebounding and shot a solid 44 percent from the field.
ìWe got a much-needed conference victory over a good East Central team,î said coach Stuart Lang. ìIf we can keep gaining confidence we will be tough down the stretch."
The Tigers are now 6-4 overall and 2-3 in the conference.
