North Branch Community Education is offering a class on Mondays, Feb. 28-March 14 to help young people become a safe and responsible babysitter.

Participants must be 12 years or older. Material covered includes: basic infant and child care information, handling emergency situations, information to get from parents and other babysitting responsibilities.

Participants will receive a babysitting handbook and upon completion of the class, babysitting certification.

There will be snack at each class.

Participants are to bring a pencil to all three classes, a toy to the second session and a stuffed animal or doll to practice with at the third session.

Sessions will be held at North Branch Middle School in the media center from 3:20 p.m. to 5:20 p.m.

Cost is $18.
