TO THE EDITOR:
This is a response to ìThink about a smoking area.î I am in total agreement with the smoking area for the Midsummer Days carnival. If this person wants information on it she can go and search Indoor Clean Air Act Minnesota which the city of North Branch was in violation of at this yearí carnival.
I think it is dangerous to have lit cigarettes around all the fumes and fuels at the carnival and I think that the city fathers should take a long hard look at next yearís carnival.If they are worried about offending someone they shouldnít be. If you donít offend someone somewhere then you are not doing your job. The Army has cracked down on smoking; designated smoking areas everywhere in public. They are the lawmakers make them enforce the law.
