To the editor:
On a pleasant day last fall, Thrivent Financial Services, Chisago Chapter, presented a check for $2,128 to Children's Home Society and Family Services. The check was a joint effort of the Friends of Crisis Nurseryís and the Chisago Chapter of Thrivent Financial making the total donated to Children's Home Society & Family Services Crisis Nurseryís of Chisago & Isanti Counties nearly $4,000.
I wish to take this time to thank all of our wonderful sponsors and friends who made this possible. This could never have happened with out each and everyone of you.
The Friends of Crisis Nurseryís are working on the third annual ride, which will again start out at the Masonic Hall in North Branch on Saturday June 25. There will again be a pancake breakfast put on by the North Branch Lioness to start out the day. The ride will once again go all the way around Mille Lacs with lunch being served at the the second stop which will be at the Wits End in Garrisson. There will be lots of prizes again this year, we will be throwing darts at each stop for these prizes.We already have a very nice selection of donations for this ride.
We are encouraging everyone who rode with us last year to tell all of their friends and join us again to protect the children.
