To the editor:

On Tuesday, March 8, residents of Sunrise Township can vote on building a new fire hall in the township. this fire hall would be a substation of the Almelund Fire Department. Sunrise is not looking at having its own fire department, the town board is looking at cutting response time to fires and accidents.

It's possible for some residents that having a fire hall in the township their home owner's insurance could go down.

However, for me, the most important reason I support the new fire hall is cutting response time to fires and the accidents that happen in our township.

The Almelund Fire Department has provided information on the number of fire calls and rescue calls in Sunrise, that information leads me to believe that a substation in Sunrise will save lives and property.

Please vote March 8 in support of the new fire hall at the Royal Wilcox Center in Sunrise.
