The Rush City Garden Club invites you to its March 17 meeting. Featured speaker will beİShereen Naumann of Leap of Faith Farm in Harris. Leap of Faith Farm is a local farm selling perennials, shrubs and trees that are zone tolerant and is expanding its native wildflower and grasses sections. They also carry organic seeds.
Naumannİwill talk aboutİorganic gardening. She will discuss beginning and maintaining a compost as well as some problems that may occur; controlling insects and weeds and how the soil make up can allow some weeds and insects to flourish; planting a crop such as clover and turning it into the soil before it goes to seed, adding a lot of nutrients, either to vegetable garden or a new flower. It promises to be a very interesting, and timely, program.
The program will start at 9 a.m., Thursday, March 17, at the Rushseba Town Hall, just north of Rush City on Forest Boulevard (near the airport).
