The reigning state champion Braham Bombers handed the Rush City boys their 17th loss of the season with a 90-37 trouncing in sectional tournament action Mar. 4.
In spite of the wide final margin, Coach Gary Dreissig was upbeat about his team's performance.
"Considering our opponent I thought we played a very complete game. When you play a team like Braham it sometimes gets misleading on how you played because the score gets so lopsided."
Rush City was down 39-16 at the half, but with 5:30 left in the third quarter the Tigers cut the lead to 41-22. However, the remainder of the game was all Braham as they outpaced the Tigers 4915.
"It was very rewarding with the season we had to see our kids play so hard and with such enthusiasm. They are to be congratulated," Dreissig said.
Sophomore Jacob Bosman was named to the all-tournament team.
