An encouraging week that saw a first place finish as well as a respectable fourth prompted Rush City High School track Coach Mike Vaughn to surmise that his girls are starting to perform at a higher level just in time for the conference meet on May 17.
The team took first place overall in the Barnum Invitational on May 5, and showed a respectable fourth place at the Chisago Lakes Invitational on May 6.

The boys, meanwhile, placed third at Barnum but finished in the cellar at Chisago Lakes.
