Two boys who were struck by a Hummer while biking in Stacy Sunday are recovering rapidly and will likely return home from hospitals soon, said Lt. Steve Pouti of the Chisago County Sheriffís Office.
The 11-year-old boy was sent to Fairview Lakes in Wyoming, where he was treated and released.
The 13-year-old was driven over by the Hummer and was airlifted to Regions Hospital in St. Paul. Pouti said the boy is already playing video games and is recovering well.
The two Stacy boys were crossing CR-19 at 2:43 p.m. when they were struck at a low-speed as the driver turned left from CR-19 onto northbound CR-30.
Their names are being withheld, Pouti said.
The driver of the Hummer H2, an adult male, is also being withheld pending investigaton. He is not yet charged. Alcohol and drugs have been ruled out.
