The East Central Senior Resources Center recently had four new volunteers complete Core Body of Knowledge training. All are certified through the Minnesota Board on Aging. During the over 18-hour training program, the volunteers learned Medicate Parts A & B, Supplemental Options to Medicare, as well as Medicare Advantage, Long Term Care Insurance, Medicare Fraud, Waste and Abuse (Medicare FYI), Medicare Discount Cards, Prescription Drug Options and other relevant information. The volunteers will provide assistance to people on Medicare, as well as their caregivers, on the above subjects. The new volunteers are: Alice Everett, Pine County; Brenda Fornengo, Pine County; Dorothy Lemke, Mille Lacs County and Lois Mathison, Kanabec County.
