Longtime Rush City coach and teacher Rick Kosloski has announced that he will retire at the end of this school year.

In a letter to the school board, Kosloski said, "the time has come for me to retire from teaching and look for other challenges and types of enjoyment."

Kosloski, head coach of the softball team, has also coached volleyball and basketball. He has worked for the district since 1969.

"I appreciate the opportunities afforded to me by the numerous school boards, superintendents and principals under which I have served. Meeting so many wonderful people and students has had its many rewards. Teaching has been a wonderful road for me to travel, both in the giving and in the receiving from others within the school system and the community," Kosloski said.
