Our Chisago Lakes communities are the best! The Friends of Parmly would like to thank everyone for all the wonderful support for the Parmly annual ham dinner held April 21 at Chisago Lake Lutheran in Center City. Over 375 people were there to enjoy the event. The Chisago County Chapter of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans provided supplemental funds that help raise money for the Parmly campus residents and tenants to soon enjoy inter-campus cable television.
A special thank you to Pete Nelson (Lindstrom) for once again providing us with the delicious hams. Thank you also to Mike Parker of Lindstrom Foods for dinner rolls and advertising, Kevin Brink at Brinkís Market for dinner rolls and signage, Curt Peterson from Peterson Produce for cole slaw, Dave Johnson and Company for musical enertainment and the many, many bakers from Trinity Lutheran (Lindstrom), Zion Lutheran (Chisago City), First United Methodist (Lindstrom), Chisago Lake Lutheran (Center City) and St. Bridgetís Catholic Church Lindstrom) for all the delicious bars. A special thank you goes once again to LeRoy Mitchell for working his magic in the kitchen and making our ham so tasty.
Youth from the Chisago Lakes High School National Honor Society were among the 80 volunteers. Our thanks are also extended to the North Branch Post Review for helping us advertise the ham dinner. We apprecite the efforts of all those involved who helped to make this event such a success.
