North Branch girls golfers tough out a rough weather week

The North Branch girls golf team gained a point in conference play with a win over St. Michael-Albertville at home on Apr. 28. The final score was 218-227.

The team participated in the cold and windy Purple Hawk Open on Apr. 25. Coach Dave Ambers reported that weather conditions were "about as bad as they could be without rain, snow, sleet or hail."

Despite conditions, 19 teams participated. Cretin-Derham Hall had the low team total with 381, followed by Duluth Marshall with 383 and Milaca at 400. North Branch shot 428, good for 11th place.
