Bill Oehlers and Al Moore continued to dominate their events, leading the North Branch Vikings to a first place finish at the annual Norm Ayen Invitational at Cambridge-Isanti High School on Apr. 29.
Oehlers placed first in the shot put for the fifth time in six meets this season. He threw a distance of 51'07.5".
Moore placed first in high jump with a leap of 6'. He has placed first in that event in all five meets he has competed in this season. Moore also won the triple jump.
Other first place finishers were Joe Lofboom in the 400m dash and the 800m relay team and Nick Ramberg in the 3200m run and 1600m team.
On the girls' side, Jenny Anderson captured firsts in the 100m hurdles and anchored the victorious 1600m relay team.
The girls saw numerous second place finishes, including Tess Prouty-Kunshier in the 400m dash, Anderson in the 300m hurdles, and Shelly Oehlers in the shot put. Oehlers also placed third in discus.
