Shirley E. Bauer, age 63 or Rush City, Minn., died on
Nov. 14, 2005 at her home.
Shirley was born on Oct. 1,
1942 to Edwin and Esther (Mortenson) Kjos in Langdon, ND.
She graduated from Langdon High School in 1960, and attended business school for two years.
Shirley married Gerald A. Bauer on Aug. 22, 1964 in Albany, Minn. She worked for the IRS in the customer service department.
Shirley enjoyed collecting antiques, Coca-Cola and Elvis memorabilia, porcelain dolls and Precious Moments.
Shirley is preceded in death by husband Gerald and her parents Edwin and Esther Kjos. She is survived by children Jennifer (David) Franklin of Harris, Minn.; Rachel (Jeremy Carlson) Thomsen of Rush City, Minn.; Christopher (Kari) Bauer of Rush City and Nicholas (Rene) Bauer of Salem, AR; two sisters Gloria Spencer and Brenda (Jerry) Buelt; 18 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Nov. 17, 2005 at the Trinity Lutheran Church at 11 a.m. with Rev. Loren Mellum officiating. Interment was in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in North Branch, Minn.
