TO THE EDITOR:

Saturday morning was an exciting day in North Branch ... our new library had its Grand Opening.

As I looked around the crowd of excited attendees, I spied Denise Martin, reporter for the Chisago Press. This woman tirelessly covers all events in North Branch as well as the county.

Our area newspaper reps deserve not only our admiration but thanks for the job they do.

There used to be a program on TV (moons ago) called Dragnet. The star said, ìI just want the facts Maíam.î

I feel our local papers have come a long way in giving us ìthe facts.î For those attending local and county meetings, we see in person, what the newspapers report. I wish Council and County Commissioners could see themselves as we see them from the audience. Perhaps then things in this and other counties would change.

So I thank MaryHelen from the Post Review, Gail from the Star, and Denise from the Press for striving to give us ìthe facts, maíam.î
