More than 400 people attended the grand opening of the new 14,000-square foot North Branch Area Library on Saturday, Oct. 29. Located next to the North Branch Fire Station at 6355 379th St., the new facility is open 44 hours a week and offers a community meeting room, a reading area with a fireplace, wireless Internet access, and more than 25,000 items to check out, including books, tapes, newspapers and magazines.
