SEH appoints North Branch resident to board

North Branch, Minn., resident Joel Dresel was recently appointed as a member of the Board of Directors for Minnesotaís largest engineering firm Short Elliott Hendrickson Inc. (SEHÆ). As a board member, he is responsible for leading the firmís strategic direction, maximizing employee performance and sustaining company growth.

Each year, potential board members are selected by an SEH committee and elected by shareholder vote. Board members can serve up to two, three-year terms consecutively.

ìOur Board members are accountable for the growth and success of the firm,î President/CEO Dave Pillatzke said. ìWe selected Joel as a member because he shares the same vision and direction for the organization and his expertise and knowledge have contributed greatly to the success of the firm thus far.î

Dresel joined SEH 10 years ago and serves as the Director of the aviation market center, which serves clients in each of SEHís three regions, spanning 10 states. Serving also as the Aviation Operations Manager, he provides technical services to several key clients including the Metropolitan Airports Commission and the Brainerd Lakes Regional Airport.

Dresel, a 1977 North Branch graduate, earned a bachelorís degree in geological engineering from the University of Minnesota and a technical degree in civil technology and land surveying from Dunwoody Institute-Minnesota. He has more than 22 years of experience in consulting engineering and is a licensed professional engineer and land surveyor.
