Army National Guard PFC Cody Gallmeier has graduated basic combat training from Fort Jackson, South Carolina. During the nine-week training, he received instruction in Army Values, basic first aid, communications, U.S. military weapons, chemical warfare, and bayonet training.

He also participated in the gas chamber, bayonet assault course and Victory Forge, a 7-day field training exercise. Cody finished his time at Fort Jackson as a Platoon Leader. He is now at Fort Eustis, Virginia for AIT in Blackhawk Helicopter Mechanics.

He is the son of Eric and Kris Anderson, North Branch, Minn. Gallmeier is a 2005 graduate of North Branch High School.
