More than 160 waterfowl enthusiasts attended the first annual meeting of the Sunrise River Chapter of Ducks Unlimited (DU) on Saturday, Sept. 24.

"It was an awesome turnout for our first banquest," said Jack Juve, publicity coordinator.
Ducks Unlimited is a national organizations whose mission is to conserve, restore and manage wetlands and associated habitats for North America's waterfowl. The organization has nearly 43,000 members in Minnesota, the most members of any state in the country.

The Sunrise River chapter was chartered in May.
