There will be an open house at the North Branch Wastewater Treatment Plant, Thursday, Oct. 20, 3 p.m. - 7 p.m.
The plant is located at 6793 Ash. Street, next to the cityís compost site.
The staff invites you to visit the new plant and learn how it works. You can get answers to questions such as: Where does the water go after it goes down the drain? Why treat wastewater? How much water is treated every day? How much water does the average person use a day?
At the plant site you will see structures that look like something from futuristic space movies, but they are important parts of the wastewater process.
