Gertrude Victoria Reese, age 89 of Amador Township, died on Sept. 7, 2005 at her home.
Gertrude was born Jan. 14, 1916 in Amador Township to Axel and Mattie (Carlson) Nelson.
On May 8, 1943 she married Paul Reese in Sunrise. Together they farmed and raise a family for 58 years.
Gert enjoyed her home, family, farming, cooking, sewing; she loved her country living and gardening.
Gertrude was preceded in death by her parents, husband Paul, son Dallas, sisters Pearl Hischer, and Blanch Nelson, brother Edward Nelson and daughter-in-law Nancy Reese.
She is survived by son Virgil, three granddaughters Tammy (Craig) Mortenson, Debie (Danny) Hunter and Barbie (Tom) Fredrickson; four great-grandchildren Danny Hunter Jr., Holly Hunter, Kayla and Jake Mortenson, nephew LeRoy Hischer and other nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held on Monday, Sept. 12, at Trinity Lutheran Church in North Branch, Minn. with Rev. Loren Mellum officiating. Interment was in the Sunrise Cemetery. Arrangements by Grandstrand Funeral Home in North Branch.
