Judy Marie Halvorson was born on May 14, 1942 to Louis and Marie McNamara in South St. Paul, Minn. She passed away on Sept. 15, 2005 at her home at the age of 63.
Judy grew up and attended schools in South St. Paul. Judy met and married Joseph Stan in 1960. Soon thereafter in 1961 their first son Joseph Stan III was born. In 1963 they expanded their family to include Jeffrey Joseph. Their family was finally complete with the addition of Jerald Louis. The family resided in South St. Paul for approximately eight years.
Judy began her career in sales in the late sixties. Soon thereafter she met and later married the love of her life, Roger Halvorson. Judy and Roger shared 27 years together. Judy and Roger moved the kids to North Branch where they lived, worked, and raised their family. A devoted wife and mother, Judy was active in the community through her real estate career and church involvement. She was a longtime member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in North Branch.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents and husband Roger.
Judy is survived by her beloved children Joseph and Kathy Stan of Cedar Park, TX, Jeffrey Stan of Forest Lake, Jerry Stan of North Branch; grandchildren Kari Anne and Joey Stan of College Station, TX, and Alison Stan of North Branch. She is also survived by her siblings Dick and Bevy McNamara, Rock and Wanda McNamara and sister Pam Klinzing, numerous nieces and nephews and many dear and cherished friends.
Funeral services were held Monday, Sept. 19, at the Trinity Lutheran Church in North Branch, Minn. with Rev. Susan Schoon officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery. Arrangements were made by Grandstrand Funeral Home in North Branch, Minn.
