The NB Chamber responds

The North Branch Area Chamber would like to thank the 450+ kids and parents who patiently waited for the chance to hunt for eggs in our Community Easter Egg Hunt. Early on Saturday morning, April 8, chamber staff and members scattered more than 2,500 eggs in the wooded area just north of the North Branch High School. The area was flagged off to hold back the many children expected to join us. Along with the 2,500 eggs, were an additional 500 eggs that contained a wide array of treats which included bikes, Easter baskets and yard toys.

We have tried a variety of different methods for this hunt - none have been the perfect solution. There is one thing that has remained the same through the years; the Chamber is the only one who ėthanksî and openly expresses its gratitude to the sponsors who participate in this event. Area businesses contributed over $3,000 so the children that joined us could have a ėfreeî egg hunt. Not one of the prizewinners have ever called or written to thank them. It has been our goal to host an event to highlight our businesses, to foster that sense of community and provide a fun activity for the kids. It is our intent that everyone will be ėsmiling like the Easter Bunny.î The Promotions Committee will review this program for the future.
