The North Branch boys and girlís track team had a solid performance at their first outdoor meet in St. Francis Tuesday, April 11. The girls won the meet and the boys placed second.

ìIt was a very good meet,î head coach Brian Hasleiet said.

The girls won the meet scoring 79 team points, only seven points ahead of St. Francis.

The girls placed first in the 3200 meter relay, 100 meter dash, 4x200 meter relay, 4x100 meter relay, 800 meter run, 200 meter dash, discus, 3200 run and 4x400 meter run.

In addition, Shelly Oehlers made it into the top five all time in the school for the shut put.

ìIt was a nice start to the outdoor season,î Hasleiet said.

The boys scored 56 points, 31 points behind the winner of the meet, St. Francis. The Vikings placed first in the 800 meter relay, 200 meter run, and 400x4 relay
