Help us support our children
TO THE EDITOR:
The North Branch Music Booster club began in July of 2005. It was started by a group of parents with a desire to support our North Branch music students and is now a group of community members, parents and students
who are planning and working to promote, advance and support excellence for students of the North Branch Music Programs.
It is an energetic group which meets the second Monday of each month at the North Branch Senior Center, and new members are always welcome to attend. Look for meeting details on our Web site:www.mm.com/user/nbmbc
At the present time our goals include:
ï Distribution of newsletters
ï Development of a Web site
ï Enrollment of new members
ï Promotion of a Swing Gala Dinner and Dance
ï Build enthusiasm for music at all grade levels
Our first fund-raiser is a Swing Dance Gala, and will be a very fun social event for people of all ages.Ý Have you ever wanted to learn how to Swing Dance? Now is your chance. Learn to swing dance or brush up on your skills with the dancing lessons. All ages are welcome to join in the fun. Even if you do not want to dance, come and enjoy the catered dinner and music. April 22. Dinner begins at 6:30 p.m., followed by swing dance lessons and dancing until 11 p.m. at the North Branch High School Commons. Tickets are $15 each and are available from North Branch Music Booster Club Members, Nelsons Market-North Branch, both Holiday Stations-North Branch, Stacy Country Cafe, or call LaDonna Olson at (651) 674-8526.
