Menís basketball league starting in Cambridge

For the first time, Cambridge-Isanti Community Education will offer a mens basketball league. Eight Monday evening officiated games, a practice session and a single-elimination playoff at the new Cambridge Middle School Gym are included. Teams with 5-12 players may participate.

Four to eight teams are needed to have the league.

Awards will be presented to the top team members and top playoff team. Teams will have the option of advancing to the Minnesota Recreation

& Parks Association State Tournament. The practice session will be on Monday, Nov. 13 with officiated games beginning on Nov. 20. The season will conclude with the

playoffs ending on Feb. 5.

The team registration deadline is Friday, Oct. 6. Team member names, addresses, phone numbers, a signed waiver and team fee are due to the Community Education Office by Oct. 6.

Some of the adult fitness and recreation classes being offered by Cambridge-Isanti Community Education this fall include: couples volleyball, adult pickup basketball, core fitness on the ball, stretching

for athletes, impact kickboxing, swing dancing, salsa and Merengue.
