More than 20 local athletes competed in the Sprint course at the Chisago Lakes Triathlon. (no local athletes competed in the Half Iron Man.) Ken Anderson of Stacy finished as the fastest local male with a time of 1:39. Megan O'Hern was the fastest local female finisher with a time of 1:54. The sprint course was a quarter mile swim, a 20-mile bike ride and three mile run.
