TO THE EDITOR:

In a recent article on Rod Gramsís bid to unseat Congressman Oberstar, current State Senator Sean Nienow stated, ìWe need to look to the future. And that future doesnít include Jim Oberstar.î I canít believe our sitting senator would make such a comment about a congressman who has brought us over $30 million in transportation funding, while Sen. Nienow has done nothing to meet our transportation needs. Jim Oberstar has faithfully served our district for 16 terms. He has always represented my Minnesota values ñ quality education, healthcare, safe roads, taking care of our environment. Unfortunately, Sen. Nienow has failed to represent any of these.

Sen. Nienow, you said it was time for a change ... in your district, I agree. Jim Oberstar ñ and state senate candidate Rick Olseen ñ have my vote.
