Harris fisherman wins coveted Ranger Cup
Ranger Pro Mark Courts of Harris was awarded second place in the 2006 Ranger Cup Awards for his performance on the Professional Walleye Tour this year during a recent awards luncheon at the Ranger factory.
By finishing second in the Ranger Cup walleye point standings, Courts received $6,500 in prize money.
"We're proud that have a pro staff that includes not only great, accomplished anglers but also character individuals as well," said Ranger
Boats President, Randy Hopper. "They make us proud with their achievements during competition but even more so in the way they represent themselves and our values as a boat company. It's been a great year for Ranger pros fishing at all levels and we use the Ranger Cup program as a way to thank them for their loyalty and hard work."
The Ranger Cup program awards points to anglers who compete out of Ranger boats during qualifying tournament. A maximum of 50 points is given to the highest-finishing Ranger Pro. Point totals for subsequent Ranger Pros decrease by one point through 50th place. To qualify for the Ranger Cup program, anglers registered in the program must fish from a Ranger boat during all qualifying tournaments, meet clothing requirements and properly display the Ranger Cup decal on their boat.
