Betty L. Peterson, age 76, of Miami Beach, FL, died December 15, 2006. She was born on October 8, 1930 in Minneapolis, Minn., to Elmer C. and Elizabeth Peterson of Kost, Minn.

Betty was confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in 1944, graduated from North Branch High School in 1948, graduated f rom the University of Minnesota in 1953 with a B.S. in medical Technology and moved to Florida after graduation.

She began work at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida, and worked until being disabled in the 1970s.

She was preceded in death by parents Elmer C. and Elizabeth. She is survived by brother John (Sharon) Peterson; former sister-in-law Betty Jepsen; nephew John Jr. (Jewell) Peterson; nieces, Jan (Scott) Pearson and Ruth (Joseph) Pierce; 10 great nieces and nephews and other family and friends.

Visitation 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2006 with service at 7:30 p.m. at Grandstrand Funeral Home, North Branch. Burial 11:15 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2006 at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, North Branch.
