Kora Amunrud, a fifth grader at Sunrise River Elementary School, was recognized by the North Branch school board last Thursday for her success in the Minnesota Kids Vote poster contest. She took first place in the grades three to five category and also took second place at the national competition in Arizona. Sunrise River principal Sara Svir (right) said of Amunrud on Monday, "She is a very good student, and a fine young lady. You could really see her hard work and attention to detail in her poster."
