East Central too much for Tigers
Posted: 12/6/06
The Rush City girls basketball team lost its season and conference opener to East Central on the road 60-34 Dec. 1.
The girls' nemesis was poor shooting nd turnovers. On the night, the girls gave up the ball 27 times while East Central only turned the ball over 13 times. Rush City also shot 24 percent from the field- they went 10-41 on the floor.
"We are still looking for the right combination of girls. We are trying to figure out who plays well and who plays well off the bench," head coach Jeremy Albright said.
Senior Amber Hoffman was the leading scorer for Rush City with 11 points. She also added six rebounds, four blocks and three steals.
Janet Kemen was aggressive on the boards for the Tigers; she pulled in 10 rebounds for the night - five defensive and five offensive.
"Although the score doesn't indicate it, there are still some bright spots that we can hopefully build on," Albright said.
