Lawrence D (Larry) Bjork of Surprise, Ariz. passed away Jan. 25, 2006 after a brief battle with cancer.

He was born in Almelund, Minn., Feb. 5, 1933, baptized and confirmed in the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Almelund.

Larry was united in marriage to Harriette (Egelkraut) on Oct. 8, 1955.

His lifeís work varied with ownership of gas stations, a garage, a restaurant, and motel. He retired to Florida in 1988 and worked part time for West Florida Medical Supply.

He moved from Florida to Arizona in 2000. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was also active in golf, horse-shoe, his church and many other interests.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Lucille (Swanson) Bjork, brother Leland Curtis and great-grand daughter Hailee Ortiz.

Larry is survived by Harriette, his wife of 50 years and daughters Sue Lunde of Luck, Wisc, Becky (Larry) Rabel of Auburn, Wash. and Bonnie (Larry) Hiland of Goodyear, Ariz.; nine grandchildren and two great- grandchildren; two sisters, JoAnn Larson of Stillwater, Minn., Shirley (Bill) Eggleston of Lincoln, Neb. and one brother Gerry (Susan) Bjork of Danbury, Wisc. His granddaughter, LeeAnn Rabel is presently serving her country in the Air Force in Iraq.

Services were held at the Grace Community Church, 16165 W Mountain View Blvd, Surprise, Ariz. on Saturday, Jan. 28 at 10 a.m.
