Coach Bowland summarizes the action:

ìWe lost to North Branch. 45-26. We went ahead 20 to 18 after the 145 pound
match but then couldnít get it done up top. Give North Branch credit, they have
some solid wrestlers and we are pretty young up there so all in all I was
pleased with the performance.

The Mille Lacs match was a real heartbreaker for us as this was key for
conference and section. Once again we were up and failed to close out the
deal. The key match was at 145 when we were penalized for unnecessary
roughness and the wrestler could not continue. That is a 12 point swing
which was the difference in the match.

We really wrestled well against Hinckley/Finlayson. Granted that they had a couple kids
not in their line up but we came out to wrestle. I was very pleased with
the performance of Gage Murawski, Cole Karnick, and Luke Carlson..all
three wrestled very well and earned pins for us. This puts us at 5-5 with
some very tough matches coming up but if we can peak at the right time,
you never know what might happen.î
